Brian Shreffler

Brian Shreffler is a Partner at GBAO, joining the firm in 2011. Brian specializes in survey design and oversees the company’s methodological and likely voter universe development. He led GBAO’s collaboration with four other leading Democratic pollsters in 2022 to help overcome non-response bias in pre-election surveys.
Brian has extensive experience polling for Democratic campaigns in states such as Michigan, Connecticut, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, West Virginia, and Kentucky.
His clients include Senate Majority PAC, Two Peninsulas Research Group, and iVote, and he has provided data-driven consultation to organizations such as DCCC, House Majority PAC, Center for American Progress, the National Education Association, and National Resources Defense Council.
In addition to managing client-focused projects, Brian supervises GBAO’s partnerships with call centers and sample providers, and he develops in-house tools to enhance data analysis and productivity. His key interests include political geography, ideology, modeling, and data visualization.
Before joining GBAO, Brian worked as an analyst on Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research’s domestic political team, staffed various local Virginia campaigns, and interned on Capitol Hill. Brian earned his bachelor’s degree in media arts and design from James Madison University, and currently resides in Washington, DC.
